Winter Time Chicago Wedding

A Winter Time Chicago Wedding by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter

My last 2019 wedding. It feels like this was the last real “normal” wedding that I had (yes I shot one big one in March but it was a bit worrisome because of the coronavirus), and it feels so long ago. I wish we could relive this day over and over, besides the whole being extremely sick thing that happened to me that day.

Sam and Mike are outstanding people. I got to know them early last year when I drove up to Wisconsin for their engagement session (I still need to blog that). I felt like I had known them for years and that made the wedding so much easier for me. Everything about their wedding felt magical and beautiful.

I think my favorite thing about this wedding though was that Sam and Mike trusted me completely. They trusted my vision. They cheered me on when I came up with ideas and never questioned where my head was. This is why I’m so picky when I book weddings. I want to make sure to have that raw connection with people so we can build that trust from the beginning. It makes the entire experience so much more enjoyable for everyone. When you start considering photographers for your wedding – first and foremost – make sure you connect with them. Trust me, you’ll be thankful for it later.
