Tamara and Evan’s Intimate Cabin Wedding by Seattle Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
It rained so much the day of Tamara and Evans wedding. At first I was hopeful it would blow past us, but of course it didn’t. I’ve literally never seen storms as intense as this (my drive home was 2 hours of heavy rain and constant lightening), and all of that to say it didn’t even phase these two or their families.
They rented several cabins in the woods out in the Red River Gorge. They originally wanted to have their wedding out in the open overlooking the hills, but the rain made that impossible. The decided on just doing it in the covered space on the side of the deck, and it ended up being so absolutely perfect. Obviously, a bit crowded, but it just felt so wonderful to be surrounded by all of the love radiating towards Tamara and Evan.
The “reception” was just as cozy as the ceremony. It felt like being at a big house party that everyone dressed up for. It was so nice getting to meet so many of their friends and family and just be part of such an intimate celebration for two amazing people. It really made driving through the storms worth it.
