Mackenzie and Evan’s Fall Creek Falls Wedding Session by Destination Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
You know when you really like a place you can’t get enough of it? That’s how I feel about Fall Creek Falls. I was there in April for the Forest & Falls Workshop, and just HAD to go back for a session. Mackenzie and Evan got married in Nashville this past Saturday so I figured what better opportunity to get back, than to ask them to do an after wedding session out there. We rented a cabin, which are amazing and modern, and went out on Monday for an early session.
The light was a bit tricky but it was a nice challenge for me, even though I would have 100% preferred softer light. I really like the dynamic in the photos because the light was harsh in places, and we were able to play a lot with the shadows. I don’t normally get the chance to challenge myself in these types of lighting situations, so it was nice, even though I’ve pretty much yelled at my computer all day while editing.
I’m excited that Mackenzie is coming back to visit in a couple of weeks and to second shoot for me. She’s a pretty talented photographer so if you get the chance check out her work.
