Lucy and Ted’s Waveland Historic Site Wedding by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
It was a rainy day and we almost had the portraits and ceremony completely rained out. Thankfully the rain quit long enough to do the ceremony in the original location. It did eventually become a complete down pour but everyone at the wedding were champs. I got caught in it going to my car to get batteries for a flash and I’m pretty sure I looked like a wet rat through most of the reception. Perks of being a wedding photographer I suppose.
I would like to mention that this type of small and intimate ceremony is exactly what I love to shoot. They just seem so much more personal than larger weddings. Also having ceremonies surrounded by nature is my favorite. I just really love outdoor weddings and not being stuck inside while shooting.
Also, huge thanks to Justin for helping out at the wedding. I had a nasty sinus infection and if he wasn’t there I probably would have panicked. He does great video work (He just won an emmy for a news story) if anyone’s looking for a videographer.
