During the shoot I led at the Rooted to Thrive Workshop the original models had to leave suddenly for a family emergency. Thankfully some of the attendees, Julian and Kelly, stepped in and let me finish the inside portion of my shoot. We missed some of the fun light casting on the floor I like to use, but we were still able to use the windows nicely.
We focused on using the light throughout the villa to still create beautiful indoor images. One of the things I’ve focused on throughout my career is being able to photograph people no matter the lighting situation. Whether that means that we have to shoot solely indoors, outside in harsh light, in little to no light, I’ve wanted to be prepared for it all.
It’s so important that as a photographer we don’t just lean on what we know, but that we expand and learn how to do things that may be difficult. This is the best way to insure that we can serve all of our clients to the best of our ability.
