Makenna and Jamie’s Loeb Boathouse Wedding by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
Since I was a little girl I always dreamed of moving to New York City and living in all the chaotic glory. My brother and his class got to visit New York for their 8th grade trip. My Mom & Step Dad went, and I was left at home because I was to young (5th grade). It absolutely freaking sucked. I had high hopes that we would be doing the same trip once I was in the 8th grade, and the year before we got banned from doing anything of that nature. So, I figured my senior trip would be the time to actually get to go. The high school I started at always went to DC and NYC for their senior trip so I had time to dream and think about all the wonderful things the city would have to offer. Fast forward a couple of years and I had switched schools and my class voted on going to Florida instead of living it up in the big city. DREAMS WERE CRUSHED, and I was not happy at all.
TEN YEARS after I graduated high school and had my heart broken by a bunch of teenagers who wanted to go to the beach, I finally got to go. AND I got to do so many crazy things I’ve always dreamed of doing. It was honestly one of the best trips I’ve been on this year. So Thank You Makenna and Jamie for allowing me to make one of my biggest dreams come true. I am elated that I got to see New York City in all of it’s chaotic glory, and I really can’t wait to go back in March.
Also, a huge thank you to my best friend for planning her New York trip around this and coming from LA to second shoot with me. Jillian, you’re the real MVP.
