Italian Villa Wedding Inspiration

Italian Villa Wedding Inspiration by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter

There were so many amazing photo shoots planned for the Rooted to Thrive workshop. This shoot took place on our last night at the villa. Thankfully the models were able to stay around a bit longer after the sun went down so we could do some low light work. We focused mainly on using lamps to light them and using them to make the scene more moody. This is some of my favorite type of work because it makes you actually think about posing and positioning of faces to combat the shadows.

I also taught the attendees and the other teachers how I create some of my double exposures during this shoot so it was a lot of fun to experiment with that.

I want to do more of this type of work. I want to give you photos and feelings that most people don’t have on their wedding days. If you’re getting married indoors and we can, I will 100% ask you to sneak away to do photos during the reception. I’ll probably ask you that anyways regardless of where you get married, but especially in these cases. If you’re into that sort of thing, or this sort of thing, let’s have a little chat!
