Mary and Jim’s In Home Couples Session by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
I’ve had the privilege to get to know Mary over the past year. She’s another local photographer and I first met her when she attended my workshop last July. Although it wasn’t until recently that I realized she lived really close to me and that we could actually hang out when we weren’t busy working. She’s got some really cool things planned for the future that I’m really excited about and I hope we’re able to continue working with one another on these neat little projects she keeps dreaming up.
A couple of days ago I went to Mary and Jim’s home to photograph them and to hopefully get some photos of their cats while I was there. Obviously, I didn’t get a lot of photos of Chevy Chase or Mia (best cat names ever), but the session was a nice refresher for shooting in homes. I don’t get a lot of couples that want to shoot at their home and it’s so nice changing it up every now and then. I loved their space too. It’s filled with the best natural light and the prettiest flooring. They also have this really rad old piano and Mary went out and got some really cool accents before I got there. The whole thing came together really nicely and I’m very pleased with what we created. I would love to do more sessions like this, so if you’re interested let’s do it and shoot some cool stuff in your safe space!
