Janna and Luis’ Falls of the Ohio Engagement Session by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
I’m starting to finally slow down for the year, which means I have a little time to start blogging more. I have so many backlogged sessions to get onto my website that I want to share that I feel like it will be never ending. But thankfully my editing list is a lot smaller than it was so I’ll be done with everything pretty soon, which will help with my time management problem. I think this has been my busiest and craziest fall season yet, so I’m REALLY glad I’ve kinda been able to stay on top of most of my editing. Also, very thankful for clients that are patient with me as I work through all of these weddings and sessions.
I’ve also been shooting some small videos while at sessions. It’s been an experiment, and learning to change the actual video into a GIF has been quite fine. I love being able to learn new things, and I also love being able to give my clients something new and different. So that’s definitely something I’m looking forward to for the new year. I can’t wait to actually shoot more of them, because it really does just add something a little extra.
We took these photos on a VERY cold day a couple of weeks ago, but Janna and Luis were absolute champs. With the wind coming off of the Ohio River it made for some really interesting hair and movement. I’m always super happy when I get clients who just don’t care if their hair gets messed up and just lets things flow naturally. It makes my job SO MUCH easier and more enjoyable, and I really love the “I don’t care that I’m dirty and my hairs out of line” look. I’ll be putting out some information in a couple of weeks about engagement sessions and what to expect so embracing whats happening is definitely going to be one of the talking points.
