Suzanne and Chad’s South Seas Island Resort Engagement by Lexington Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
Last weekend was a whirlwind and went by way to quickly. I got to Captiva, FL last Thursday afternoon, and we were supposed to do engagement photos that evening, but everyone was to exhausted from traveling. So, the next logical step was to get up at sunrise on Friday and head down to the beach then.
The beaches there are AMAZING. The water is pretty much the perfect temperature (which could be because it was 87 last weekend), and it’s littered with some of the most beautiful shells. Heaps of them. They’re also not short on little sea critters. We found konchs’, hermit crabs, big crabs, a star fish, and one of the bridesmaids saw a sting ray. Suzanne found what she thought was an empty shell, but turned out to be a hermit crab when it tried to scurry away from her (the ring is on it).
I really can’t say enough good things about last weekend, and how much fun it was. I’m honestly considering moving to Captiva now (except not really).
