Mackenzie and Evan’s Nashville Engagement Session by Destination Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
A couple of weeks ago I made a trip to Nashville to photograph Mackenzie and Evan’s engagement. We decided on going to the Factory in Franklin first, which I had never been to. It’s a neat little shopping center with a bunch of cool shops and restaurants. We walked around the Factory for a bit and then went inside and shot before heading out to Percy Priest Lake.
When I first started photography I was living in Hermitage outside of Nashville, and use to go to Percy Priest on my days off and to shoot. It’s one of my favorite places to go when I’m in town, and I love being able to use it as often as possible. If you don’t know the area well, you can get down to the lake on one side, and down to a walking track next to the dam. So, basically either side is amazing. The walking track has a lot of hidden gems to shoot at if you’re a photographer and don’t mind going into the woods. The lake side is also spectacular during sunrise.
All in all it was a great shoot, and if it’s any indication of what their wedding will be like in May, then I am so so excited.
