Alaina and Brians Grungy Downtown Engagement Session by Seattle Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
I first met Alaina at another wedding. We were seated at the same dinner table and she had the cutest cactus dress on. Obviously, we hit it off. She messaged me earlier this year to talk wedding plans and engagement plans. They wanted to have a really unique engagement session, and boy did we have that. We started at their house for a couple of photos with giant slices of pizza and plants. Brian actually came up with the recipe for the pizza (it was delicious) so that was a nice little personal touch, and me and Alaina have really bonded over our plant obsession recently.
We ended up in one of the storm drains in downtown Louisville, which was pretty disgusting because of all the recent rain we’ve had. I had so many plans for down there but the excess water kinda ruined it all. It was still really cool, and obviously a place I’ve never shot before. It’s also the first place I’ve shot where I had to use my climbing experience, which was pretty cool, and slightly terrifying. We ended the session in one of the historic neighborhoods in Louisville, and just kind of wandered around looking for cool spots to shoot. It was such a low key and relaxed session.
