Calamigos Ranch Wedding by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
What. A. Weekend. Around 30 people all converged in a villa in the hills in Malibu to celebrate Bethany and Spencer all weekend. Friday started off with a bang when I almost bare footed stepped on a baby rattlesnake and Spencer chased it with a stick to get it out of the pool area (no baby rattle snakes were harmed). Followed by lots of hangs and wedding prep as we all got to know one another before the real festivities began.
On Saturday we loaded up and headed to Malibu Wine Safari's to see a guy about a Giraffe named Stanley (he's famous and friends with the Kardashians). The staff and the animals were a delight. You have to go if you're in the area and have a couple of hours. My hand was licked by Stanley as I was feeding him lettuce. I never knew I wanted to be licked by a giraffe until that moment and it's crossed something off of my bucket list that wasn't on there until after it happened.
Sunday was a whirlwind. Watching these two love birds say their I do's and be so enthusiastic about marrying one another has been a highlight of my career. They truly have something unique and special with one another. So many people came from all over the country to see them get married, and if that's not a testament to how much they're loved I don't know what is.
All of the vendors for this wedding went above and beyond. The Juniper Sisters really outdid themselves. I'm lucky enough to call these ladies friends (you might remember Caseys wedding), and I'm so proud of them for all of the hard work they put into making this Bethany and Spencers dream wedding. To be able to pull off such a detailed event when they live out of state is a feat on its own, and they rocked it. If you're getting married you need to hire them. No if's ands or butts. They're worth every single penny.
