Ramble in the Blue Ridge Mountains by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
If you didn’t already know, Ramble is a camping workshop that I just adore. I’ve been to both iterations so far, and I plan on continuing that trend. There’s just something about stripping away all of the comforts and technology and being in nature that makes you focus. I love that it gives me the chance to reconnect with the world outside of social media and the indoors and I still get to learn some rad shit from some rad people. It’s also pretty freaking cool that they host Ramble in a different location every time. The first one was in the Superstition Mountains, and for this one we were camping on top of a private mountain outside of Asheville, NC.
This happened right in the middle of my fall wedding season last year and it was SO NICE having a small break from the chaos. I got to hang out with some of my nearest and dearest friends, meet some internet friends, and connect with other people I didn’t know. There’s really nothing like sleeping outside, not showering, and eating camp food for three days to bring people together. This isn’t the typical workshop and you really have to be comfortable doing some REAL camping (no glamping) to gain anything from it. I know there are a ton of workshops out there (mine included), but if you’re considering going to one, definitely check out Ramble.
